Rochester Medical clear, all-silicone, hydrophilic catheters for ISC combine innovative silicone technology with a unique, hydrophilic, carbomer coating matrixed into the catheter surface.
Silicone is the ideal material for creating a safe, dependable ISC catheter. Inert and toxin-free, silicone is unaffected by heat or cold, it will perform consistently at all temperatures, conforming easily to the profile of the urethra.
Each catheter is packed with its own supply of pure, sterile water in a burstable sachet, there are no added chemicals to sting or irritate the urethral mucosa and the coating hydrates in seconds once the water sachet is burst, preparing the catheter for immediate use.
Water combines with the carbomer coating to provide a cushion of water around the catheter shaft for virtually friction-free insertion and removal and there are four drainage eyes near the catheter tip to drain the bladder quickly, with minimum trauma to the urethra.

HydroSil female has the same properties as the HydroSil discreet catheter: it is made of silicone, which is a soft, resilient, flexible material ideally suited to catheter design; it is free from toxins and is environmentally friendly. The only difference is that HydroSil female has a tri-core construction of silicone. The three layers of silicone allow for a firm inner core for control to help when dexterity is an issue.

HydroSil male is the new name for Rochester Medical’s male length silicone, hydrophilic catheters.
The HydroSil male intermittent catheter features a discreet, all in one package, complete with sterile water sachet and fits neatly into a pocket or briefcase. The unique design, with hydrophilic coating and tri-core silicone construction is soft yet firm, making it easy and comfortable to insert and remove. HydroSil male teaching packs are available in sizes 10Ch, 12Ch, 14Ch and 16Ch, each with a user guide, 15 catheters and instructions on how to obtain supplies.
